The Inspirations behind our Regal collection
Nothing quite optimises opulence more than the crown jewels and the beautifully crafted pieces of vintage jewellery handed down through the royal blood line.
A symbol of wealth, status and power these jewels were meant to be admired and desired, as was the wearer.
When we came to design our new Autumn Winter jewellery collection we looked back at the jewels worn by HRH The Queen and her family members.
The rich ruby colours that depict royalty so perfectly, the stunning sapphires, the envious emeralds all surrounded and set off by the purest diamonds.
The Queen stunned the world at her coronation in 1953 and as well as upholding the tradition and pomp there was something of a nod to the time in her portrait to the modernity of the 1950s. Her dress and her relaxed demeanor showed a glimpse of a new era for the royal family that felt more accessible.
Most recently the other members of the royal family have taken this approach by taking tradition and making it their own.
Princess Diana’s infamous 12 carat oval sapphire engagement ring that consisted of 14 solitaire diamonds was modified by the Princess just two years later. The ring now sits beautifully on the hand of The Duchess of Cambridge. Meghan Markle too has recently given her engagement ring a makeover when she added more stones.
Above all these exquisite pieces of jewellery are about family and tradition and the feeling of continuity. Jewels to be treasured and passed down.
